A 32-year-old man is set to appear before the Willowvale Magistrate’s Court on the 10th of September 2025, following his arrest in connection with the attempted murder of an elderly woman in Qholorha Location outside Willowvale.
The incident occurred in the early hours of Sunday, 31 August 2025, at about 01:55. According to police, an 84-year-old woman was brutally attacked by the suspect and sustained multiple injuries. She was initially treated at a nearby health centre before being transferred to Butterworth Hospital for further medical care.
Police immediately opened a case of attempted murder, though no suspect was identified at the time. Through a focused investigation, officers arrested the 32-year-old at his home in Qholorha Location on 02 September 2025.
He made his first appearance before the Willowvale Magistrate’s Court on Thursday, 04 September 2025. The matter was then postponed to 10 September 2025 for further proceedings.
