Wild Coast Sun, Sun International’s only beachfront resort, turned 44 in October 2025, and celebrated in grand coastal style. The event brought together staff, guests, and entertainers for a lively weekend of festivities featuring foam parties, live DJ sets, and thrilling casino draws.
The resort, located on the Eastern Cape’s Wild Coast, has long been a favourite destination for both locals and tourists seeking leisure, gaming, and seaside fun.
What Happened at the Celebration
Guests were treated to a packed programme of entertainment, including:
- A Waterpark Foam Party at the Wild Waves Water Park.
- Emojis inflatables for family fun around the resort.
- Electric performances by DJ Theo Papli, DJ Keenz, and Jarred Live at Calypso Bar.
- A Silent Disco under the stars on the Banqueting Lawns.
The weekend also featured casino birthday draws across Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Diamond levels, with winners walking away with exciting prizes.
A Toast to 44 Years
Resort General Manager Henry Tshegetso Boekhouer, celebrating his first anniversary in the role, said the milestone showed the resort’s strong relationship with guests and the community.
“Wild Coast Sun is more than a resort, it’s a place where people feel at home, Many of our guests have been coming here for decades, creating memories with their families. As we celebrate 44 years, we’re focused on keeping that sense of warmth and belonging alive while continuing to grow with our community”, said Boekhouer.
The showcase of the evening included a cake cutting and champagne ceremony, hosted by MC Katlego Maboe, with performances by the Survivors Dance Crew. Guests received cupcakes and champagne to mark the occasion.
