The Umzimvubu Local Municipality’s Special Programs Department partnered with NSFAS on 15 November 2025 to run an application support program in KwaBhaca and EmaXesibeni.
The initiative focused on assisting Grade 12 learners who often struggle with online submissions due to limited data, devices, or internet access.
Learners from several schools attended the sessions, receiving step-by-step guidance from NSFAS officials.
Mbodleni High School learner Phila Njoti said she felt “excited and relieved” after completing her application, thanking the municipality for bringing help closer to home.
