Safer Festive Season Operations by SAPS members attached to Crime Intelligence and Task Team yielded good results when they apprehended two suspects for possession of drugs at Ezibeleni outside Queenstown on Thursday.

Police members were busy with high visibility patrols in hotspot areas when they received valuable information about males that have drugs. The house was spotted and searched and upon searching police recovered mandrax, TIK and cocaine to the street value of R200 000.

Two suspects aged 39 and 40 were arrested for dealing in drugs and are due to appear at Ezibeleni Magistrates’ Court shortly.

The Chris Hani District Commissioner Major General Adolph commended the members for their dedication and tremendous work for cleaning the streets of Chris Hani from drugs
