River cruises just one of Wild Coast Sun’s exciting leisure activities
While Wild Coast Sun may be Sun International’s only beachfront resort, it is also conveniently situated on the banks of the Mtamvuna River, and because of the South Coast’s endless summer temperatures, buzzes with activity all year round.
Guests are spoilt for choice when they head down to the resort’s Riverside Aqua Sports Beach Bar on the riverbank, where canoeing, kayaking, sit down and stand-up paddle boats, speed boats and fishing all take place.
The best way to end a day of exhilarating water sport fun is to jump on a boat cruise that gently navigates up the Mtamvuna River. Soak up nature around you with a cool breeze against your face and a cocktail or beverage in hand while you take in the glorious sunset.
The cruise is between 45-minutes and an hour, which takes you up to the breathtakingly beautiful Umtamvuna Nature Reserve. You can choose between a public or private cruise.
Before you depart, purchase your beverage of choice from the bar to enjoy onboard.
With local tourism on the rise again, it is time to support tour operators and others in the tourism industry whose livelihoods were heavily impacted during the pandemic.
