The African Transformation Movement (ATM) welcomed the commencement of the work of the Panel to determine the legitimacy of the section 89 Impeachment Process as per motion of the ATM.
The ATM is however not satisfied that it took three weeks for the process to begin and therefore calling on the speaker to enlighten the nation as to why the process delayed. ATM trusts that the panel will take this opportunity to establish the rule of law and make way for Mr Ramaphosa to account for his misconduct of the EMEA, PRECCA, abuse of power and issuing unlawful instructions.
ATM calls on the panel to pick up where it left off and use the hard ground work done by ATM for their advantage. The party has provided indisputable evidence, and this will assist the panel in so much that the matter will be finalized very quickly.
ATM says the President must practice what he preach, the party explained that if the president violates the law he swore to protect the country with it means citizens will not abide to the either. Therefore, they call upon the president to lead by example.
African Transformation Movement said, it is looking forward to the verdict that confirms transgressions acknowledged by Mr Ramaphosa.
ATM looks forward to a verdict that confirms the validity of Mr Ramaphosa’s self-professed violations.
