The Blue Nation announced their intentions to expand their support base locally on Wednesday, 02 March. The SA Spears of The Nation sent out an invite to all their supporters to attend the launch that will be held at Majazi Community Hall on Sunday, 06 March, using their social media platforms.
The team from the North of Bizana currently boasts Two branches, One in the homestead of Mzamba and the second branch in Mt Ayliff. Bizana currently has four teams playing in the ABC Motsepe League this season and competition for the throne where the fanbase is concerned is very stiff. Former ABC Motsepe League champions, Bizana Pondo Chiefs FC have proven to be the most followed team in the small town with a whooping 22 thousand people following them on social media. The Blue Nation has enjoyed its fair share of success as they made it to the provincial playoffs last season and look poised to repeat the feat this year as they are currently rooted at the summit of their table.
It has however been their neighbours, Sinenkani FC who have been winning the hearts of the locals with their exploits in the much-revered Nedbank Cup after they managed to reach the last 16 of the competition. The Stubborn Army has also enjoyed a great run of form in Log A of the ABC Motsepe League Eastern Cape stream and it looks more possible than ever that the playoffs might be a derby.
Another recent addition has been the surprise package in Thohoyandou FC. The newcomers have found the going tough in their maiden season after a series of inconsistent displays. The Blue Nation has called upon all its branch members to attend the launch on Sunday as per their Social Media invitation. “All South Africa Spear of the Nation supporters are invited to the launch of the Bizana Supporters Branch on Sunday, 06 March 2022 at Majazi Community Hall in Bizana” read the statement.
“If you wish to establish a branch in your area don’t hesitate to inbox (Direct Message on Facebook) us and we will provide necessary support during the launch.” It concluded. For more information, supporters can contact the branch secretary, Ms Duzane on 083 567 9915.
