Snerah Mbidana Releases Long-Awaited EP "Ukholo Lwam"

Eastern Cape-born singer and songwriter Snerah Mbidana has officially released his long-anticipated Extended Play (EP) titled Ukholo Lwam on Thursday, 27 March 2025. The 8-track body of work is now available on all major digital music platforms, offering a message of resilience, hope, and unwavering faith to his listeners.

Originally intended for release in 2024, the project was delayed due to financial constraints and a missed collaboration with an investor who Mbidana hoped would help market the EP to a wider audience.

“I had planned to work with an investor to help push the project, but even without that support, I decided not to hold back any longer,” Mbidana said. “I believe the music will find its way to those who need it.”

Rooted in Struggle, Built on Faith

The lead single, “SIZOPHUMELELA” (We Will Succeed), was the first track recorded with producer DJ Teddy, and set the tone for the rest of the EP. The song reflects Mbidana’s own journey and is designed to resonate with anyone facing obstacles in life.

“Even though the project is titled Ukholo Lwam—‘My Faith’—it’s not just about me,” said Mbidana. “It’s a collection of songs meant to speak to anyone who’s hustling, who’s on the edge of giving up, but chooses to keep going.”

The EP delivers powerful, relatable themes about perseverance, spiritual strength, and believing in one’s path—music crafted not just for entertainment but for encouragement.

A Milestone for the Independent Artist

Now available on platforms such as Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, and others, Ukholo Lwam represents a major milestone for the independent artist. Despite challenges, Mbidana has brought his vision to life and is hopeful the project will touch hearts across South Africa and beyond.

“I’ve worked hard on this project, and now I just hope it reaches the people it’s meant for,” he said.

With its honest lyrics and motivational core, Ukholo Lwam is already striking a chord with early listeners—and marks a powerful new chapter for one of the Eastern Cape’s rising musical voices.
