
In a joint effort to promote youth development and fight social ills, Shell Garage and Astron Energy, in partnership with the Port St Johns Local Municipality, handed over new netball and soccer kits to pupils from Ward 1 and Ward 6 during a ceremony held at the Port St Johns Museum.
What Happened?
On 30 October 2025, the handover event celebrated the growing collaboration between the private sector and local government. The donation included jerseys, balls, and other essential equipment to help young athletes participate more effectively in community sports.
The initiative aims to promote healthy lifestyles, encourage youth participation in sports, and reduce crime by engaging young people in positive and structured activities.
