Over a period of two days ( 27th and the 28th of July 2022) , Imbumba Foundation helped keep a girl child in school after donating sanitary towels to different schools in the Mpondo Kingdom. Mncwati SSS, Mount Zion JSS, Thandabantu JSS in Mbizana, Dumezweni SSS and Ntsikayezwe SSS in Ntabankulu were the schools selected to benefit from the project. In Mbizana, the Foundation was welcomed by Clive Noconjo from the Winnie Mandela Municipality with the principals of the recipients and members of the school governing body.
In the previous year, Princess Stella Sigcau II reached out to Richard Mabaso, CEO of Imbumba Foundation, requesting donations for schools in the Mpondo Kingdom. The foundation kept its promise and commitment by fulfilling Princess’s request for the sanitary towels donated.
Princess Stella Sigcau II started working with the youth in the year 2007 and included youth empowerment in her workshop to empower learners and the youth in the Mpondo Kingdom. Her initiative included donated books to selected schools from the Khuthaza Ukufunda Project.
The initiative includes training in computer literacy, 4IR, educational presentations on child abuse, GBV, child trafficking  and dealing with trauma. The maidens will also benefit from the initiative in  preparation for their Reed dance which will take place on the 10th of September at the Mpondo Culture Heritage festival held at Lwandlolubomvu Great place in Ntabankulu.
In celebration of youth month, Princess organized for learners from several schools including teachers and representatives of the school governing body to be part of an educational tour to Freedom Park, where they were welcomed by CEO Jane Mufamadi.
On June 13th, school shoes and uniforms were donated to the learners of Mount Zion by the Imbumba Foundation. The learners attended a workshop on child abuse, teenage pregnancy, trauma impact, child trafficking and GBV presented by social development.
Imbumba Foundation has pledged to extend their sanitary towels drive and donating school shoes and uniforms to other parts in Mpondoland.
