The social grants are administered by the South African Social Security Agency ( SASSA). This has helped support the people of South Africa against vulnerability and poverty.
SASSA GRANT PAYMENT DATES FOR MAY ARE AS FOLLOWS;
Older Persons Grant : 3 May 2023
Disability Grant: 4 May 2023
Other grants (Child support grant , foster child grant, care dependency grant, War Veterans Grant) : 5 May 2023
Please note, all SRD grants will be paid as and when applicants have been approved.
Application forms are available at your nearest SASSA office.
Applicants accepted by SASSA for social grants must be from South African citizens, permanent residents or refugees currently living in South Africa.
