The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) has released the official payment dates for August 2025 for all social grants.
- Older Person’s Grants: will be paid from Tuesday, 5 August 2025
- Disability Grants: will be paid from Wednesday, 6 August 2025
- Children’s Grants: will be paid from Thursday, 7 August 2025
SASSA reminded beneficiaries to update their banking details if they have multiple active bank accounts to avoid delays. “Always keep your PIN safe to prevent fraud on your grant,” the agency said in a statement.
The agency reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring that all beneficiaries receive their grants on time and safely: “Paying the right social grant, to the right person, at the right time and place. Njalo!”
The grants are essential for millions of South Africans who depend on them for basic needs. The announcement also comes as SASSA continues its efforts to combat fraudulent activities targeting beneficiaries.
