The Alfred Nzo District Municipality has launched a major water supply project in Ramohlakoana Village, Ward 2, aimed at improving access to clean and safe water for residents.
The project began in July 2025 and is expected to be completed by June 2026. Currently, work is 10% complete.
Key features of the project include installation of four borehole pump stations, construction of three pump stations, setup of 220-kilolitre water tanks, fencing of all pump stations, laying of 17.8km of bulk pipeline and 21km of gravity pipeline, installation of valves, chambers, and stream-protection gabions.
So far, the project has created 45 temporary jobs, contributing to local employment and development.
Upon completion, residents in Wards 1, 2, 6, and 27 will gain reliable access to clean water a major step forward for health and quality of life in the area.
