President Cyril Ramaphosa oversaw the swearing-in of newly appointed members of the National Executive at the Union Buildings on 17 November 2025 in Pretoria. During the ceremony, he named Willem Abraham Stephanus Aucamp as the new Minister of Forestry, Fisheries and Environment. He also appointed Alexandra Lilian Amelia Abrahams as Deputy Minister of Trade, Industry and Competition.
What Happened
President Ramaphosa led the formal swearing-in ceremony in Pretoria as part of ongoing adjustments to the national executive. Mr Willem Aucamp took office as Minister of Forestry, Fisheries and Environment in line with section 91(3)(b) of the Constitution. Ms Alexandra Abrahams was confirmed as the new Deputy Minister of Trade, Industry and Competition under section 93(1)(a).
An official at the ceremony said, “The President remains focused on strengthening leadership capacity to improve service delivery and governance.”
