The Emalahleni Local Municipality has confirmed a widespread power outage affecting several areas, including Reyno Ridge Extensions, Del Judor Extensions, Witbank Extensions 5, 8, 16, and 41, as well as portions of Die Heuwel Extension 4.
The outage was reported on 6 November 2025, and municipal teams are currently on-site conducting fault-finding operations to determine the cause.
Official Response
In a statement issued by the Municipality’s Communication Unit, officials assured residents that technicians are working urgently to identify and resolve the fault.
“Further details will be provided once our technicians have made a diagnosis,” the municipality said. “We apologize to the affected community for any inconvenience caused.”
Municipal spokespersons emphasized that updates will be shared through official channels as soon as restoration timelines are confirmed.

Residents in the affected areas have been urged to exercise patience and unplug sensitive appliances to prevent damage when power is restored.
Local businesses and households are also advised to make contingency plans as repair work continues.
