Mr Ntinini, chairperson of the Disabled People’s Organisation in Port St Johns, called for stronger respect and understanding.
Councilor F Mafaka urged residents to support cooperatives and community initiatives that include persons with disabilities.

Officials said the program aimed to improve communication between residents and government structures. Community members were encouraged to raise concerns, seek clarity on services, and take part in decision-making processes.
The inclusive platform, organizers noted, reflected the municipality’s commitment to democratic values and active public participation.

The event strengthened awareness of disability rights and highlighted the need for accessibility, representation, and meaningful engagement in local programs. Leaders said further sessions will continue throughout the month to ensure all voices are heard.
