Bizana born Netball star, Wakhe Fakazi has pleaded with the local community to assist her with donations to fund her trip to Cape Town after being chosen to be part of the Alfred Nzo team. Wakhe, 29, is a Net balling enthusiast who plays in the centre and was drafted in the team that will represent the Alfred Nzo Region after a series of matches that were held locally as part of the recruiting process.
Wakhe, like most of the players who come from the rural parts of Bizana and the Alfred Nzo region is in need of funding so that she can be able to buy basic necessities while on the trip. She has shared a post seeking donations among her Facebook friends. “I am very passionate about sport, well, about Netball to be exact and I am very excited about this opportunity” said Wakhe.
“Being picked amongst other great players to go and represent your home town and region in such a big competition is a dream through.” She continued.
The competition is set to start on the 5th of November and end on the 11th of November 2021. Should you be interested in donating towards making Wakhe’s dream of palying in Cape Town possible please contact her directly to get her banking details on 078 076 4490 or via Messenger on Facebook at Wakhe Fakazi.
