The O.R. Tambo District Municipality, in partnership with the Clinix Health Group, launched a humanitarian initiative on Thursday to support 80 families who lost their belongings during recent floods in Maiden Farm, under the King Sabatha Dalindyebo Local Municipality.

The briefing, held earlier today, outlined plans to hand over essential household items such as bedding, furniture, and kitchen supplies to flood-affected households. The initiative aims to help families rebuild their lives after widespread flood damage disrupted homes and livelihoods in the area.
Officials from both O.R. Tambo District Municipality and Clinix Health Group emphasized that the intervention is part of an ongoing disaster response effort focused on restoring dignity and stability to displaced residents.
In addition, community members and local leaders gathered at Maiden Farm to witness the symbolic handover ceremony, which reflects the power of partnership between government and the private sector in addressing humanitarian crises.
