Netball World Cup tour resumes in the Eastern Cape province

The Eastern Cape province Wednesday received the Netball World Cup Trophy from the Northern Cape in Colesburg. The trophy will be on tour in all districts of the province for five days. The bid to have the first Netball World Cup held in the continent of Africa was launched in the Eastern Cape. The tour started in Maletswai on Thursday and will end with handing over the trophy to the Western Cape in Tsitsikama on the 3rd of July. The tour will see a lot of netball activities from school and club competitions to coaching clinics.

Department of sports, recreation, Arts and culture Eastern Cape MEC Nonceba Kontsiwe has welcomed the trophy in the province.

We are very honoured and delighted by the arrival of this beautiful trophy as a province and people must be ready to come and see face to face this marvelous moment when we tour around the province. – said MEC Kontsiwe
