The Ndavundavu family in Lutsheko location (Ngqeleni) under Nyandeni local municipality is facing horrific disaster caused by a road constructed by the local municipality behind their yard.
Ms Ndavundavu has visited the municipality to complain about the problem but the municipality sent quantity surveyors to check the damage. The family found the visit not useful as they insist they pay for the installation of pipes that will prevent the water from abolishing the fencing of the yard and entering into the yard.
The family says they are really devastated because when there is rain they face a lot of challenges as water infiltrates the houses which causes damage to the furniture in the house, their cry thing is for Nyandeni municipality to reimburse them for the damage caused by the installation of the water pipes and construction of the road. They also want the municipality to take into consideration that they never faced any of these predicaments before the construction and installation of the water pipes.
The family indicated that they feel neglected by the municipality and they have spent a lot of money in preventing a problem created the municipality.
