Morocco made historical victory against Portugal in FIFA world cup

Date:

Morocco became the first African Nation to reach the semi-final stage of the FIFA world cup after defeating Portugal by 1-0 score line, a beautiful header goal by Youssef En-Nesyri came from a set piece at three minutes to the halftime. As expected in the second half Portuguese came with thunder attacks but the Moroccan’s walls were stronger than the Golgotha walls even when a Moroccan player was red-carded in 83 minutes but 10 men Morocco managed to defeat Ronaldo’s Portugal by 1-0.

On Wednesday night 21:00 pm Morocco will lock horns with world cup defending champions France which is the only nation standing before them and the final. France defeated England by 2-1 last night.

Moroccan coach Walid Regragui rightfully earned praise for winning convincingly against though nations in the world like Belgium, Spain, Canada and Portugal now he has to plan for another huge obstacle.

The cornerstone of his success was built on hard work, defensive structure and team spirit in a team that lost majority of their quality players. Seeing him do this on the biggest stage of football shows that his meteoric rise is no fluke at all.
