Deputy Minister Chupu Stanley Mathabatha presided over the graduation ceremony of 184 NARYSEC participants in Tsomo, Eastern Cape. He congratulated the graduates for their discipline and commitment throughout their training.
Deputy Minister Praises Discipline and Hard Work
Mathabatha told the graduates that their journey reflects resilience and determination.
“You stand tall as graduates, proof that with hard work, discipline, and faith, dreams do come true,” he said.
He encouraged them to continue carrying themselves with dignity and to use the skills they gained to build stable futures.
NARYSEC Restores Dignity in Rural Areas
The Deputy Minister stressed the core purpose of the National Rural Youth Service Corps. He said NARYSEC plays a key role in improving living conditions in rural communities.
“Through the programme, we have seen how the transfer of skills brings dignity and hope,” he said.
Mathabatha noted that the programme equips young people with practical skills that address unemployment and strengthen community development.
A Call to Lead and Transform Communities
In his closing message, Mathabatha urged the youth to push beyond limitations and lead change in their communities. “Go out there—make us proud in the jobs you were employed into. Start businesses, uplift your communities, become leaders and change-makers,” he said. “Let the world see what the NARYSEC youth are capable of.”
