Bizana-born beauty pageant Nandi Sonjica to present her hometown in a national pageant the Miss Grand South Africa.  The finale will take place at The Arto Theatre in Pretoria on the 22nd of July 2023. The Pageant empowers women with the knowledge to bring about change in  communities in need. This is a platform created for women by women to become charity and culture  ambassadors within South Africa and the broader international community. The title  holders become involved in charitable causes that are near to them. The 26- year old journey as a model started when she paid part in Miss Eastern Cape Beauty in 2018. As a person who believes in charity doing pageantry was one of the things that pushed her to participate.  "My inspiration for charity work comes from my mother, she was a social worker," she explains. Her primary vision was to be involved in community work and later on fell in love with pageantry. "Taking the crown as the Miss Grand South Africa would mean a lot to me, as I come from a small town I will get the honor to represent my country and my hometown internationally" " When struggling with low self-esteem one should start giving themselves at least one compliment a day," she concludes.

ANC Secretary-General Fikile Mbalula outlines party’s readiness for the manifesto launch at the weekend.

The ANC prides itself as an organisation that discusses all its policies openly and embarks on robust public engagements before it adopts any policy. This tradition was developed and perfected over almost a century – from its first Constitution adopted in 1919 to the Bill of Rights (1923), the African Claims (1943), the Freedom Charter (1955), Strategy and Tactics documents (1969 to date), the Harare Declaration (1989) Constitutional Guidelines for a Democratic South Africa (1991), Ready To Govern (1992) and to the Reconstruction and Development Programme (1994).
