
The King Sabata Dalindyebo (KSD) Municipality handed over essential agricultural cropping input to the Masichubisane Agricultural Cooperative in Ngcingane, Ward 16. The MMC Councilor Dudumayo led the official handover. Dudumayo took part in the municipality’s ongoing support for small-scale farmers.
What Happened?
On 31 October 2025, the KSD Municipality provided the cooperative with a variety of farming materials aimed at boosting crop production and food security in the area. The donation included:
- 6 × 50kg bags of fertilizer
- 4 × 50kg bags of LAN (limestone ammonium nitrate)
- 1 bag of maize seed
- Agro chemicals
These resources are expected to enhance productivity and help farmers in Ngcingane improve their seasonal yields. The initiative reflects the municipality’s continued effort to strengthen rural agricultural development and promote self-sufficiency among local cooperatives.
Official Response
Councilor Dudumayo praised the commitment of the Masichubisane Cooperative in sustaining local agriculture.
“This support is a step toward empowering our communities to grow their own food and generate income,” said Councilor. Dudumayo. “We are committed to improving the livelihoods of small-scale farmers across all wards.”
Municipal representatives emphasized that this intervention is part of broader efforts to encourage youth and women’s participation in farming, ensuring that agriculture remains a strong pillar of local economic growth.
