On 18 October 2025, a strong show of support for rural development, the Intsika Yethu Municipality, in partnership with the Department of Agriculture, distributed seeds, piglets, and animal feed to 1,000 local farmers across Cofimvaba, Tsomo, Ncora, and Qamata. The initiative aims to uplift small-scale farmers and stimulate regional economic growth.

The distribution event, held on 18 October 2025, brought joy and excitement among farmers who have long faced challenges due to droughts and limited farming resources.
Through this collaboration, the municipality and the department aim to empower smallholder farmers to increase productivity and improve food security.
