Reports state that on Thursday, 8 December 2022 police services were summoned to attend the scene of the unnatural death at Madlangathi locality.
The 20-year-old initiate was one of the initiation schools located in Madlangathi locality.
Nyanga Initiation Forum Chairperson, Mark Khoabane, commented on the death tolls since the initiation season began last month in Eastern Cape.
“It is very concerning to see initiates passing away year after year he said.
“Bogus initiation schools should be a thing of the past, community leaders need to be aware of such developments in their communities and avoid such schools to take place. Saps need to be more involved within initiation”.
Investigations on the above case are in progress.
