  1. Assistant Accountant Payroll

      Salary Scale: Task Grade 10 (R 287 737 PER ANNUM excluding benefits)

 Essential Requirements

  • Matric
  • National Diploma in Accounting or equivalent
  • Comm Degree with Accounting will be an added advantage.
  • Be physical fit and able bodies
  • 2 years relevant experience

  • Implementing the routine application associated with the processing of information of the Payroll Section.
  • Implementing and controls the tasks/ activities of personnel and allocated and prioritises outcomes
  • Prepares Financial Statements and reports on the payroll expenditure.
  • Maintaining salary deductions are paid over, on time and are accurate, and processing salary deduction payment on the system.
  1. Assistant Accountant Budgeting

Salary Scale: Task Grade 10 (R287 737) PER ANNUM excluding benefits

Essential Requirements

  • Matric/ Senior Certificate
  • National Diploma in Accounting or Equivalent NQF level 6 qualification in Accounting
  • Knowledge of MFMA, National Treasury Regulations/ Framework and applicable budget best practices and policies in the Municipal Environment
  • Code B/EB driving License
  • 2 years relevant experience in Local government financial management

  • Implementing the process of budgeting and reporting in accordance with the municipal budget and reporting regulation

DEPARTMENT: TECHNICAL SERVICES

  1. Senior Electrical Technician

Salary Scale: Task Grade 13 (R451 557) PER ANNUM excluding benefits.

Essential Requirements

  • Matric/ Senior Certificate
  • National Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering will be an added advantage
  • 3-4 Years Experience in electrical engineering maintenance and project management.
  • Advance knowledge and experience in electrical engineering.

Key Performance Areas

  • Communicating with the Manager: Electricity and professional personnel on technical requirements associated with Electrical Engineering priorities for implementation.
  • Ensuring that design plans are presented and approved by ESKOM within stipulated time frame
  • Attending to Network Planning Report (NPR) comments from ESKOM
  • Conducting regular site visits and Conduct diagnostics, troubleshoot equipment and resolve site queries related to electrical systems.
  • Liase with funder, service providers and other professionals to build strong working relations
  • Research, evaluate and recommend new technologies and approaches to improve existing processes and support innovation initiatives
  • Provide technical consultation and mentorship to junior engineers, ensuring knowledge transfer and skills development by:
  • excellent critical thinking, problem solving and attention to detail
  • Strong leadership, communication and team-building skills to effectively manage projects and mentor staff

DEPARTMENT: PLANNING & LOCAL ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

  1. LED Practitioner: Enterprise Development and Regulations

      Salary Scale: Task Grade 11: (R339 704) PER ANNUM excluding benefits

Essential Requirements

  • Matric
  • National Diploma/Degree in Business Management/Studies/Economic/Economic Science
  • Computer Literacy/ Office application
  • Code B/EB Driver’s License
  • 3 years relevant experience in Local Government and Provincial Government
  • In depth knowledge and experience in funding Mobilisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • SMME Coordination and Cooperatives, Enterprise Development Functions, Customer Focused Service Delivery, supervision and Control, Administration and Records Management and Relationship Management/Communication
  • Coordinates the implementation of the immediate, short- and long-term objectives associated with Enterprise Development.
  • Facilitating and overseeing mentoring of SMME’s within the municipality, including the dissemination of information pertaining to the functionality.
  • Processing business licensing and registration applications
  • Controls the key performance indicators and outcome of personnel
  • Coordinating the administrative and reporting requirements associated with the key performance indicators of the functionality
  • Disseminates functional and professional information on the current SMME developments, problems, and constraints
