Step 1: Routine Stop Turns Into Major Bust
On Monday, 18 August 2025, the Anti-Economic Crime Task Team pulled over a suspicious vehicle on Koeberg Road near Milnerton. A search of the car revealed drugs hidden inside.
Step 2: Follow-Up Search at Residence
Police escorted the 39-year-old Nigerian male suspect to his residence for verification. During the search, officers found more narcotics, including cocaine.
Step 3: Cash and Drugs Confiscated
Alongside the drugs, officers seized R101 800 in cash, believed to be proceeds of crime. The total street value of the cocaine and other substances is estimated at R800 000.
Step 4: Arrest and Charges
The suspect was arrested for possession and dealing in drugs. SAPS confirmed the case forms part of their #DrugsOffTheStreets campaign to rid communities of narcotics.
