Hope Lithemba Kitchen

Brenda Mazwi, 38, from East London has been providing a home for almost 50 children and 20 older people for the past four years.

Founder of Hope Lithemba Kitchen in East London, Mazwi, said she understood how coming from a poor background felt like and that is why she opened her home for children and the elderly who do not know where they will get their next meal. She did not only open her home, but she also opened her heart to be their beacon of hope.

She said the children who come to her home do not have to worry about data because she has had Wi-Fi installed so that those who attend school can be able to do their homework.

Mazwi said it pained to see children dropping out of school because they do not have the necessary resources.
