Wild Coast Sun Resort’s hard work and dedication to socio-economic development has been recognised with various accolades at the Eastern Cape Gambling Board CSI Awards.
The four-star Sun International beach resort, on the border between KwaZulu-Natal and the Eastern Cape, received three awards, while Wild Coast Sun’s SED Manager, Bandile Mdliva, was awarded the Best Licensee Coordinator, a testament to his exemplary leadership, professionalism, and commitment to excellence.
The Awards were:
The Best Performing Project in the Agriculture Focus Area: For assistance of the Queen’s Greens farming project, Wild Coast Sun’s outstanding efforts in contributing towards sustainable agricultural development and making a positive impact on local communities, were acknowledged.
The Best Performing CSI Project in the Anti-Poverty Focus Area: By providing boreholes for Sirhasheni and Mngungu communities, Wild Coast Sun demonstrated their commitment to alleviating poverty and supporting initiatives that empower individuals to overcome economic challenges.
The Second-Best Performing CSI Project in the Education Focus Area: The donation of science kits for Alfred Nzo East District, in collaboration with the Mngungundlovu Communal Property Association, demonstrated Wild Coast Sun’s dedication to enhancing access to quality education and improving educational opportunities for young learners.
