Heavy rain expected to hit the OR Tambo and Alfred Nzo districts

Date:

The Pouring rain that has shook part of the OR Tambo and that of the Alfred Nzo district have disrupted plans of many residents, as there has been a warning of disruptive rain leading to localised flooding of susceptible settlements, roads, low Lying areas and bridges.

Earlier this week SA weather services issued a warning that residents should expect heavy rain as from Wednesday until Friday. Indeed, on Wednesday the rain started pouring, but the situation has worsened.

Eskom lines might be affected by the floods. Residents are urged to report such incidents immediately to their municipalities or directly to Eskom.

Residents are advised to avoid low lying areas and bridges until the rain clears.
