Following the recent tragic incident which happened at Cabazana over the Easter Weekend different Non-Governmental Organisations such as Khula Community Development Project Eastern Cape, and Government organisations were among the group of Good Samaritans who took it upon their hands to give support to the victim’s family.

According to reports 16-year-old girl, Zandiswa Ntshamba from Cabazana a small village in Maxesibeni was brutally sexually assaulted and her eyes were gouged out on Easter Friday by a 23-year-old man Velisani Mngani who is still in police custody.

Today, Petros Majola the founder of the Khula Community Development Organisation project in partnership with other stakeholders went to visit Ntshamba’s home to show her love and support as she is going through the difficult situation. Amongst many gifts that they brought the girl, is a chair, Tablet, headphones, money and many other things.

Meanwhile, Doctor Nkululeko Dambuza from Mt Ayliff Hospital, who was the first Doctor that attended the girl, says Zandiswa’s case was a very traumatic case. Adding that she is a very brave girl.

Petros Majola says the aim of the visit was to show support to the girl and to cheer her up as she undergoes the healing process.
