Fuel price increases will force South Africans to stay home

Fuel price increases have been announced for November.

The price of both grades of petrol will increase by 25 cents per litre, while diesel will increase by between 20 and 21 cents per litre.

Wholesale illuminating paraffin is set for an increase of 21 cents, with the retail price of LP gas going up by 36 cents per kilogram.

The main drivers for the increase are higher Brent crude oil and petroleum product prices.

The stronger rand however shielded us against an even higher increase.

New prices will be effective from 6 November.
