Plans to develop the Alfred Nzo Industrial Park in Mbizana have taken a major step forward following an agreement between the Alfred Nzo Development Agency (ANDA) and the COEGA Development Corporation.

ANDA Chief Executive Officer Lumko Mtimde met with COEGA’s Executive Manager for the Wild Coast Special Economic Zone (SEZ), David Lefutso, to discuss the pre-feasibility study completed by COEGA. The meeting concluded with the signing of a Service Level Agreement, appointing COEGA as the implementing agent for the next phase — a detailed feasibility study.

The study will assess the economic, technical, and environmental aspects of the planned industrial park and is expected to be completed in under two years. Once finalised, it will guide investment, infrastructure planning, and job creation strategies for the project.
