Mount Frere-based FC Siyanda, representing Alfred Nzo in the Eastern Cape’s ABC Motsepe League, has wasted no time in reinforcing their squad following a 1-0 defeat to Mighty Eagles last Saturday.
The team has announced seven new signings, aiming to bolster their chances in the league.
Goalkeeper Lethabo Ramaphoko (25) joins from Marumo Gallants, bringing PSL experience to the team. Attacking midfielder Menziwa Ntshangase (25) makes the move from Nkowankowa Continental FC.
FC Siyanda has also secured the services of wingers Nkateko Shondlani (20) from Kosovo’s FC Mitrovica and Hluma Tshungutshungu (19) from Remember Elite Sport Academy. Zimi Gcweka (20), a fullback, crosses over from Mighty Eagles FC.
Striking reinforcements come in the form of Perfect Ndaba (22) from Newcastle All Stars FC and Onke Tyhukwana (25) from Iqhayiya Sport Academy. Nkosenhle Sangweni (23), a winger from Sivutsa Stars FC, completes the new signings.
In a welcome return, midfielder Reggy “Mission” Zondi rejoins the team from Mkhambathi FC.
FC Siyanda’s transparency in announcing the previous teams of their new signings has drawn praise from fans, with Luxolo Poyo commending the team’s openness.
