The East London Industrial Development Zone (ELIDZ) has invested in community growth through its Corporate Social Investment (CSI) Programme. On 9 December 2025, the organisation donated new sports equipment to the West Bank Sports Council (WBSC).
The council plays an important role in developing youth talent in Buffalo City. The donation will strengthen their ongoing efforts to create safe spaces where young people can train, compete, and grow.
ELIDZ said the initiative shows its commitment to supporting community-driven sports development. The organisation aims to give young people more opportunities to participate in different sporting codes and build confidence through structured activities.
Building Stronger, Healthier Communities
By supporting a range of sporting disciplines, the donation will empower young athletes and improve local participation. Sports programmes often help strengthen community ties, increase engagement, and create healthier environments for the youth.
The ELIDZ that outlined port remains a powerful tool for building resilience and shaping responsible future leaders. This contribution forms part of its broader goal to nurture development pathways for young people across Buffalo City.

As the CSI Programme expands, ELIDZ says it remains committed to uplifting communities and investing in initiatives that deliver meaningful, long-term impact.
“Together, we are building stronger, active, and inspired communities,” the organisation said.
