Durban University of Technology has confirmed late registration dates and strict cut-off rules for the 2026 academic year, outlining who qualifies, what deadlines apply, and the consequences for students who fail to register on time.

What is happening?

Durban University of Technology (DUT) has released its official late registration and closing dates for 2026, alongside clear rules on appeals, access to classes, and final deadlines.

The update applies to all undergraduate, postgraduate, annual, and first-semester students and was issued by the Registrar on 6 February 2026.

Students who miss these deadlines risk losing their place, being barred from lectures, or having online access revoked.

Why it matters to you

If you are not fully registered, DUT rules are strict:

  • You may not attend lectures
  • You may be removed from Moodle and MS Teams
  • Your marks and results will not be released
  • No registration is allowed after the final appeal window

In short, missing the dates can delay or end your 2026 academic year.

  2. If you miss it, submit an appeal between 23 February and 06 March
  3. Ensure all fees or NSFAS clearance are finalised
  4. Confirm your status on PeopleSoft / DUT Student Self-Service

Bottom line

If you plan to study at DUT in 2026, registration is non-negotiable.
Late registration offers a final chance — but once it closes, access to classes and results stops.

Act early. Confirm your status. Do not wait for appeals.
