Eastern Cape Premier Oscar Lubabalo Mabuyane, on Tuesday visited two major road infrastructures in eQonce. The project is undertaken by the South African National Road Agency (SANRAL).
Premier Mabuyane said these two road constructions form part of the eighteen projects on SANRAL’s portfolio in Eastern Cape. Mabuyane announced these projects during his State of the Province Address in February this year, the government invested about R7 billion for the projects and the main purpose is to decongest traffic in the area.
The construction happening in a section of the N2 stretching from Green River to Buffalo River where the road is being expanded.

Premier Mabuyane also visited Belstone interchange which connects East London, Bisho and eQonce.
In closing Mabuyane said, “As the Provincial Government we know that road infrastructure increase the economy while creating job opportunities and at the same time we will also be able to develop the lives of our people.”
