The Eastern Cape Rural Development Agency (ECRDA) recently hosted the Portfolio Committee on Agriculture as part of its oversight visit to the province. The Committee reviewed the innovative work of ECRDA in promoting rural development and toured several projects in the Buffalo City Metropolitan Municipality.
The Committee expressed satisfaction with the progress achieved and urged ECRDA to continue expanding its initiatives to transform rural communities. The visit also offered an opportunity to share best practices and assess the impact of ongoing projects on local livelihoods.
This engagement is part of preparations for the Eastern Cape Provincial Legislature’s “Taking Legislature to the People” event, scheduled for 20–24 October 2025 in the Buffalo City Metropolitan Municipality.
