Eastern Cape Doctor accused of rape allegations

A doctor from one of the hospitals in the Eastern Cape is faced with two allegations of rape encounters.

One of the incidents took place in Port St Johns in 2019 and another case took place in Lusikisiki Eastern Cape in 2022.

According to National Prosecuting Authority spokesperson Luxolo Tyali, the doctor is currently in police custody he is due to appear in court for both the allegations of two rape ordeals rape.

The suspect has filed for bail applications regarding the allegations. The doctor will appear in court for both cases on Monday 10 October 2022 at Lusikisiki Magistrates court which will be the judgement on bail.

In Port St Johns Magistrates court the suspect will appear on rape charge case for further evidence on bail application.
