Deputy Minister of Justice and Constitutional Development, Mr Andries Nel, joined Minister of Police, Professor Firoz Cachalia, and Deputy Minister of Police, Dr Polly Boshielo, in Mitchells Plain this morning, 9 September 2025, to engage with local communities on strategies to address gang violence.
The programme forms part of the Justice, Crime Prevention and Security (JCPS) Cluster’s ongoing efforts to strengthen community-driven approaches to safety. Stakeholders at the engagement included Members of Parliament, civic organisations, religious leaders, and Community Policing Forums (CPFs).
