In the quest for the ideal school for your child, what factors come to mind? Safety and quality education, undoubtedly. Have you considered Little Eden Primary School in Izikhuba location, Bizana? Operating for over a decade under the dedicated leadership of Mr. Jacob M.C., Mrs. Jacob L., and Mrs. Daza, this school, spanning from Grade R to Grade 9, goes beyond its name, providing an environment that mirrors the tranquility of the biblical garden it is named after.

Upon entering the school gates, cleanliness prevails, with no paper trace on the ground, well-maintained lawns, flowers, and lush green trees. Little Eden exudes an atmosphere that lives up to its heavenly namesake.

In an exclusive interview with Miss Z. Yalo, a teacher at Little Eden, she expressed why parents and children should consider this institution.

“We are a small school that doesn’t just offer academic support; we provide quality education. We ensure our learners are prepared for the world physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually.”

To foster a well-rounded education, the school organizes Indigenous Games Day every Friday before exams. This initiative aims to shift the focus from academics to the importance of play and fun. Indigenous games promote team spirit and team building, teaching learners the value of collaboration.

Grade 9 learner, Dlikithela Lutho, shared his enthusiasm for Indigenous Games Day, stating,

“I enjoy it because I want to pursue sports management. I’ve learned so much about team effort for a common goal.”

Lutho emphasized the crucial role teachers play in recognizing and nurturing students’ talents and skills, a distinction he believes might be overlooked in larger high schools.

In an interview with Grade 8 learner Ongeziwe Yalo, she highlighted the advantage of the school’s small environment. Teachers can provide one-on-one assistance when students struggle with subjects, a personalized approach that may be challenging in larger institutions with numerous students.

Little Eden Primary School’s slogan, “Dare To Dream,” encapsulates their belief that dreams can flourish anywhere, even in small environments. Consider taking your child to a school that not only educates but nurtures dreams and fosters holistic growth.
