CYRIL RAMAPOSA HAS GRANTED A SPECIAL PROVINCIAL OFFICIAL FUNERAL CATEGORY TWO FOR THE LATE DR LATOZI MADOSINI

President Cyril Ramaphosa has approved a Special Provincial Official Funeral Category Two.

At the age of 79, Madosini, as she was affectionately known, passed away on Friday following a protracted illness that began when she passed out while on tour in France.  On January 7th of the following year, she will be laid to rest in her hometown of Mkhankatho village in Libode.

In addition, as a mark of respect for her, the president ordered that on the day of her funeral, the National Flag fly at half-mast at every flag station in the Eastern Cape.

Oscar Mabuyane, the premier of the Eastern Cape, has accepted this honor. “As a province administration, we extend our sincere condolences to the family and friends of the great musical icon uMam’uMadosini,” the spokesperson for the premier, Khuselwa Rantjie, adds. Her talent for music not only helped to establish her as a unique character but also solidified the province’s reputation as the “Home of Legends.” The President’s order that Mama Madosini receive a send-off befitting of someone who made a significant contribution to our province and the nation as a whole has been appreciated by Premier Oscar Mabuyane.
