Dudumeni, 23 September 2025 — Councilolr. N. Dlamini, a member of the Mayoral Executive Committee, has officially handed over the contractor for the construction of the Ward 08 Concrete Slab Road to Hub. The project, led by Wosa Nawe Trading 16 cc with Mpisi Group as consultants, is expected to be completed within two months.

WHAT HAPPENED

The Winnie Madikizela-Mandela Local Municipality introduced the contractor to the community of Dudumeni on the 23 September. The road project aims to improve connectivity in Ward 08, creating safer and more reliable access for residents. In addition to infrastructure development, the project is set to provide short-term employment opportunities for locals.

Speaking at the handover, Councillor. Dlamini said the initiative reflects the municipality’s commitment to delivering services where they are needed most.

Municipal officials emphasized that the road is part of ongoing investments aimed at strengthening service delivery across all wards.
