The founder and director of the pageant Zizile Mthembu says, the aim of the pageant is to create a society that takes care of the needs of its youth one that accounts on behalf of a neighbour’s child. Zizile Mthembu added that the youth belongs to its community and parents must play an active role in the development of its youth.

She added that young people must

Learn how to co-exist with one another and be able to adjust easily in situations they are no familiar with and Parents must be supportive to their children. Despite the goals they have for their them.

“Choosing the church as the venue is a way of bringing them closer to God so that they can be spiritually Empowered  and strong for this journey because carrying a crown of this nature comes with a lot of emotional strain. From having to do charity work and see how other people are suffering out there can take a tall for someone whose spiritually not ready, so it’s important for us to make sure our finalists  find balance in emotional physical  mental  and physologically well being for the journey” Zizile Mthembu
