The revival of Bush Bucks FC is in full swing under the guidance of newly appointed head coach Siyabulela Gwambi. The Mthatha-based club has emerged as one of the most improved teams in the Eastern Cape ABC Motsepe League, impressing fans with consistent performances and strong results early in the season.
What Happened?
Since the start of the campaign, Bush Bucks FC have participated in the ABC Motsepe League, the Heroes Cup, and the Nedbank Cup Preliminary Rounds. Under Gwambi’s leadership, the team has displayed renewed energy and tactical discipline, winning five of their last eight matches, drawing once, and losing twice.
Their attacking play and solid defense have drawn attention from football supporters across the province. The team’s most recent achievement — qualifying for the Nedbank Cup Preliminary semi-finals — has further boosted their confidence as they prepare to face top regional contenders at Mthatha Stadium on 18 September 2025.
