Blue Crane Route Municipality held its annual Wellness Day Sports Event under the theme “Shades of Pink” in support of Cancer Awareness Month. On 31 October 2025, the event, filled with energy and unity, brought together municipal staff, local hospitals, and law enforcement teams for sports, wellness, and hope.
What Happened?
The event kicked off with an energetic Zumba session that had participants dancing, laughing, and ready for activities. Teams then competed in friendly Netball, Soccer, and Rugby matches, featuring spirited games between Blue Crane Route Municipality, Andries Vosloo Hospital, and the SAPS Soccer Team.
Adding to the excitement, Absa Bank sponsored sports kits for the municipal teams — a gesture that elevated both morale and community pride. The event emphasized the importance of physical activity and mental well-being while shining a light on cancer awareness through its vibrant pink theme.
