Motorists travelling on the R63 between Bhisho and Kei Road should expect delays on Thursday, 7 November 2025, due to scheduled blasting operations by SANRAL.
The closure will affect R63 Section 5 (km 16) and will last from 15:00 to 16:00. This is part of ongoing road upgrades between Bhisho and the N6 bridge intersection.
“Unfortunately, there are no suitable alternative routes in this section,” said Mbulelo Peterson, SANRAL’s Eastern Cape Head. “Motorists are urged to plan their trips accordingly.”
