Bizana Village student kidnapped and murdered

The body of a 21-year-old boy has been found boned up after disappearing for almost two months.

Ntlakanipho Rafana, 21 reportedly had a fight with his now ex-girlfriend. A trusted Pondoland Times source told us that the ex-girlfriend then informed her family of the matter, Ntlakanipho then received multiple death threats. The police found the body on the Monday, 31st October 2022 at a forest next to Phakade.

The deceased was doing his matric at Bizana Village Senior Secondary School and went missing during his trial exams. The source says that he (Ntlakanipho) wrote atleast two trial papers before getting  abducted on the 9th of September 2022. It is reported that some people looked for him on that evening at his student residence but could not find him, then proceeded to his current girlfriend’s residence.

He was taken trying to flee to a neighbourhood house seeking assistance but was not so lucky as he was successfully kidnapped.

His cell phone was later tracked and allegedly found at Mthatha with one of the ex-girlfriend’s brothers who confessed to the murder of the young boy. He also added that he was acting with his younger brother, student from the Forthare University. The two brothers confessed on how they took him inside a Polo car, drove away, beat and shot him then dumped him on a forest near Phakade, Goxa.

The police then followed the trait and found the bones of the young boy. The brothers Mbulelo and Lubabalo Ncume were arrested and appeared in court on the 7th of November 2022, but the case was postponed for the 14th of November 2022 due to the inspector of the case gathering more evidence on a bid to make more arrests.

The police were contacted multiple times for a comment until the time for publishing.
