Nosicelo Tshazi, founder and director of Nosi and Sons Pty Ltd, has turned her lifelong passion for décor into a thriving business in Bizana. What began as helping decorate for church events has evolved into a professional enterprise serving weddings, parties, and traditional ceremonies across her community.
What Happened
Nosicelo recalls being fascinated by how simple fabrics could transform spaces. “I was always curious about how people made tents look so beautiful,” she says. Determined to refine her craft, she pursued formal training to master the professional side of décor.
Her early days were challenging, with limited equipment and few clients, but her persistence paid off when the National Youth Development Agency (NYDA) funded her business, enabling her to purchase equipment and take on more work independently.

Empowering Women Through “Bizana Boss Ladies”
Driven by a desire to empower others, Nosicelo founded the Bizana Boss Ladies initiative to connect and uplift women in business. “It’s about empowerment, networking, and supporting one another,” she explains. The event, held annually since 2021, features speakers such as S. Matshoba from Kazi Cousines and N. Maqhutywa from Zitha Accountants, inspiring women to grow and collaborate.
Looking Ahead
Nosicelo envisions expanding her business beyond Bizana, opening a warehouse, and offering services nationwide. She also plans community outreach programmes, including donations of essentials to the needy. “As long as you’re alive, you still have a chance to start over,” she says. “Women must love, support, and uplift each other.”
